Peter Roberts epitomizes the entrepreneurial spirit. Peter has a successful Crossfit gym called Quantum Crossfit which he runs with his partners Leah and Tyler. Sitting down with Peter, I quickly begin to realize his passion and dedication for what he does.

He had his sights set on the legal profession at first. However, he soon realized that a career in law was not what he wanted. He was too easy going. Most of his classmates were stressed, overly competitive, and lacked personal skills. When he would ask his classmates how their weekend was, they’d inevitably bring the conversation back to school work”. In frustration and yearning for more, he left law school and would soon find that this was the best decision he had ever made.

Nevertheless, he didn’t have any idea or plan on what would be next. According to Peter, he didn’t have very many prospects and didn’t know what was next. What he did have was a passion for fitness.

Peter was involved in fitness on his own accord. He belonged to a crossfit gym, but expenses were tight. He approached the owners and asked them if they would give him a membership, and in return he would help out around the gym for free. The owners agreed, and Peter began doing administrative work for the gym, which opened the door for him to be a part time trainer. When a position opened for a full time trainer, Peter jumped at the chance.

He knew that in order to open his own crossfit gym someday, he would need coaching experience.

Peter partnered with his friends Leah and Tyler, and together they created Quantum Crossfit. Soon they built a clientele of 165 clients. It is not resting on its laurels and sees opportunity to expand even further and take the gym to new heights.

What is the key to surviving in an ever growing industry? Peter says that even with 165 clients, he and his partners know every client’s name and something about their personal lives. Furthermore, knowing what has brought them to the gym in the first place as well as their goals solidifies this relationship;

The Quantum Crossfit team believes in a solid business model, but feel this is not what contributes to their success. Rather, it is the personal attention each client receives, and that listening to each client is paramount. Every client is different, and has different needs, so the Quantum Crossfit team ensures it tailors a program which takes into account the client’s needs and limitations. Finally, educating their clients on proper eating habits help to achieve healthy lifestyles.

Quantum Crossfit values an emphasis on their youth program and scholarship which is their most commendable quality. They have worked with organization such as the Toronto Leaside Junior Wildcats to help train them during their off-season to develop their strength, speed, and conditioning.

It is for all of these reasons which make Peter and his team at Quantum Crossfit so commendable. As such, a service which comes highly recommended.
